Students will learn application development working with Java 6 SE or later, secondary, and immediate-post-secondary students of software development, or entry-level software developers.

AP Computer Science A is an introductory college-level computer science course. Students cultivate their understanding of coding through analyzing, writing, and testing code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables, and control structures.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments by participating in Business Professionals of America (BPA) Competitions. It is a “hand-on” class and much of the work is completed independently.
