Career and Technical Education (CTE) Course Description
This class is for students starting their journey in the cybersecurity field. Students will understand key security paradigms, terminology, and mindset. Students will also have a keen awareness of the importance of security and the threats to a business when security procedures are not followed. Students should be willing to teach others about security concerns while developing the investigative and implementations skills necessary to succeed in the field and have an aptitude and desire to learn more.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments by participating in Business Professionals of America (BPA) Competitions. It is a “hand-on” class and much of the work is completed independently.
