Lab Rules

From the Student Handbook:

4) CELL PHONES, COMMUNICATION DEVICES, PAGERS, AND LASERS

Cell phones and other communication devices are not permitted to be in the “on” mode or used in any fashion (calling, texting, receiving calls, receiving text, used as a music/video player, camera, or any other electronic application) during class time. Class time is defined by from the start of class bell to the end of the class bell.

1 st = Confiscation of device (to be held in student office) and returned to a parent or legal guardian.

2 nd = Confiscation of device (to be held in student office) and returned to a parent or legal guardian.

3 rd = Confiscation of device (to be held in student office) and returned to a parent or legal guardian and student will lose cell phone privileges for rest of semester.

4 th = Confiscation of device (to be held in student office) and returned to a parent or legal guardian and student will lose cell phone privileges for rest of the year.

* Mr. Carl's classroom rule - if I see any personal electronic device during class time, it will be confiscated.

10) FOOD AND BEVERAGES IN SCHOOL

Food and beverage is to be consumed in the cafeteria during school hours. Beverages purchased in the locker room must be consumed in the locker room. Note: If there is a suspicion of alcohol in a pop container, the breathalyzer will be utilized.

1 st = Verbal warning

2 nd = Referral to office, parent notification

3 rd and all continuing = See Insubordination

25) UNAUTHORIZED COMPUTER ACTIVITY

In the event any student undertakes any unauthorized use or intrusion into school computers, their hardware, software or programs, discipline will be appropriate to the 62 circumstances, which could include detention, suspension, expulsion and restitution. A student may also be removed from the school’s computer network and may lose internet privileges that could result in loss of class credit.

  • DO NOT install any software unless authorized by Mr. Carl.

  • DO NOT change any settings unless authorized by Mr. Carl.

  • We have the best computers in the building. Let's keep it that way!

  • Please respect yourself, others and the equipment!
