Career and Technical Education (CTE) Course Description
It’s important for organizations to be able to defend against ever increasing attacks against traditional solutions like firewalls and antivirus software. That’s why an analytics-based approach is now more important than ever in the IT security industry. We have developed a new cybersecurity course and certification that covers Network defense and align to CompTIA CySA+ to help IT educators equip and validate their students with these valuable, in-demand skills.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments by participating in Business Professionals of America (BPA) Competitions. It is a “hand-on” class and much of the work is completed independently. There will also be opportunities in Soft Skills and Work Based Learning.
